How to prepare for the TOEIC: where to start

A simple method to prepare for the TOEIC without wasting time: assess your level, set a target, train on your weak points and keep a steady rhythm.

1. Assess your starting level

Before revising, measure where you stand. A diagnostic stops you from drilling what you already know and reveals your real gaps.

The free placement test estimates your score and CEFR level in about 15 minutes.

2. Set a target and a deadline

Define a realistic target score (based on your goal) and an exam date. The gap between the two sets the intensity of your preparation.

  • Target + date → weekly rhythm to keep;
  • The closer the deadline, the more regular the practice must be.

3. Train on your weak points

The TOEIC is won Part by Part. Focus first on the parts where you lose the most points, rather than revising everything evenly.

PrepTOEIC builds a targeted path from your diagnostic and adjusts it as you progress.

4. Work the format, not just English

A good share of the score comes from familiarity with the format: instructions, recurring traps, time management. Practicing under exam conditions wins points without "learning" more English.

5. Keep a steady rhythm

Consistency beats intensity. A few short sessions a week beat a last-minute marathon. The streak and the dashboard help you keep going over time.
