What it assesses

You hear a question (or a statement) then three possible responses (A–C). Nothing is shown: you must hold it all by ear.

Format and flow

25 questions, 3 options each (not 4). Single audio. It's the most "blind" part of the test.

Common traps

  • Responses that echo a word from the question to trick you;
  • Mixing up question words (who / where / when…);
  • Indirect responses — correct but confusing.

Strategy

  • Catch the question word first;
  • Beware of responses that repeat words you heard;
  • Accept indirect answers ("I don't know", "Ask…").
