You listen to a short talk by one person (voicemail, announcement, presentation) then answer 3 questions shown on screen.
Format and flow
10 talks × 3 questions. Like Part 3, some come with a graphic to cross-reference.
Common traps
- Topic-specific vocabulary (airport, company, weather…);
- Questions about the message's purpose or audience;
- Falling behind as soon as you miss a sentence.
Strategy
- Anticipate the context in the first few seconds;
- Read the questions before listening;
- Don't get stuck on an unknown word — keep the thread.
